Judy Cotton & Sir Robert Cotton

Judy Cotton (or Judith Cotton) is an Australian born artist who has lived and worked in New York since 1971. Judy’s father is Sir Robert Cotton K.C.M.G., A.O. Encouraged by his cousin and fellow photographer, Olive Cotton, Sir Robert Cotton adopted photography as a hobby – from home and abroad as Australian consul general in New York and Australian ambassador in Washington.

Robert’s photographs of the Australian landscape span 6 decades from 1939, following the footsteps of explorers Burke and Wills, and Charles Sturt to present day images.
