Patrick has recently returned from being Artist in Residence at the Arthur Boyd Studio, Bundanon. Patrick endeavours to present in his paintings the essence of the landscape and evoke feelings that our senses and our unconscious are aware of, but sometimes miss. From the flicker or light creating abstract patterns to the detail of a bird going about its daily chore, to the background chorus of bush symphonies. Being loyal to the landscape, he is always moving into new territory from the subtle studies of a fragile microcosm of his environment to the large symphonic interpretation of the ever changing seasons. He works with both oil on canvas and watercolour mixed media.
