Juniper's paintings verge on lyrical abstraction and he always turns to the desert landscape and ocean for his starting point where he extracts colour, form and images from his surroundings to create the most wonderful textured and luscious paintings. An icon of Western Australia, Juniper has been proclaimed State living Treasure in Western Australian and recently had a chamber orchestra and a public garden in Perth named after him. Juniper has twice won the Wynne Prize (AGNSW Landscape Prize) and has been highly esteemed and collected in National and corporate Collections for more than four decades.
