Jan Senbergs is an Australian artist of Lithuanian origin.

Jan was born in 1939 and was forced to flee a war-torn Lithuania with his family at a young age, and having resided temporarily in Germany, came to finally settle in Melbourne, Australia in 1950.

During the 1950’s Jan took up an apprenticeship in Silk-Screen printing, and has had a passion for art ever since, with an impressive repertoire of drawings and paintings.

Amongst his finest artworks it’s Jan’s “birds-eye” portrayals of urban landscapes which resonate with most Australians. An example of such is the depiction of Sydney above, painted in 2004, which has been present and numerous exhibitions across Australia, and also Brazil.

Today, Jan Senbergs is represented by Niagara Galleries at 245 Punt Road, Richmond, Melbourne, and more information may be found on the official Jan Senbergs website.
